Yawn Tapes (2013)

Ben Levinson and Andrew Young, based out of the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, are responsible for Yawn Tapes. They dub sound onto blank cassettes from their own digital recordings. White Lung: "Take The Mirror" (2012)

Going to see Canadian act White Lung tomorrow night! A lot's been said about these guys already, so I won't ponder too much, except for saying that I've listened to their second album, "Sorry," released last year by Deranged Records, twice a day for the past week. My lovely wife turned me on to White Lung; she loves nothing more than to hear a woman screaming over loud, fast guitars, and White Lung delivers that in spades. Here's a free song from their bandcamp page: Take The Mirror by WHITE LUNGYou can follow their lead singer on the Twitters: @myszkaway.
