Refry Records

Waiting for my driver to update so I can continue wasting my life playing vid'ja games, I thought I'd check out the new arrivals on Bandcamp. I came across this label Refry Records, out of California, which I've never heard of, and I see my cool Facebook friends aren't following them so I think I'm on to something here. Here's a few of their recent releases. Great lo-fi, trashy garage punk, get hep:

Their debut vinyl release:

Follow Refry Records on Facebook, and check out the rest of their releases on Bandcamp here.

Bandcamp Remains Cool

I've said before, when I first started this blog back in 2012, I wanted it to be like dear, departed Crud Crud - strictly obscure 45s and singles. Bandcamp had been founded in 2007, but, per Wikipedia, it didn't see it's rise in popularity until 2010-2011, and I wasn't a month into the blog before I was sharing Bandcamp links. That was followed by what were probably months of me sharing songs from Bandcamp and feeling guilty that I wasn't sticking to the original CNQ directive of only posting about obscure vinyl, but finally I got over that.

Bandcamp is really cool. I've always preferred it to Soundcloud.
